Art & Ideas Weekly Update for Feb. 17, 2012

1.) ART LESSON FOR THE WEEK:

Utilize both parts of your brain simultaneously. Open up a dictionary (or actually any book if a dictionary isn't at hand) -- just randomly open it up and without looking put your finger on a page. So for whatever word you land on, you'll have to interpret it in a drawing. If you land on a word that you have seen before, translate it through an image. But if you come upon a word that's abstract or unknown, you'll want to read what the word means and then think about how you can translate it into an image. This can be tricky but it can be a good challenge too. I'd love to see what you came up with and/or know what word you worked from. --Shaqe
